ebay 20 Piece Makeup Brush Set

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

To me it seems like everyone in the beauty world is obsessed with contouring and brushes, myself included. However, when it comes to buying different products and tools I firmly believe in sticking to a budget and finding a secret gem.

After browsing ebay for a little while I came cross these black makeup brushes that came in a set of 20 brushes. I thought for $8 why not give them a try. You have no idea how surprised I was to find out that these brushes are really nice. Shipping took exactly a week so that isn't too bad.

My number one pet peeve about brushes is shedding. It grosses me out to the fullest to have a little fiber or hair stuck to my face while I'm putting on my makeup. These brushes do not shed at all. I have been constantly pulling on them over the past few days and I've had no shedding.

The only thing I can say negative about these bushes is that the handle might not be durable in the long run. They are super light so just watch for that if you decide to try them out
Pros -
No shedding
No smells
Soft
Wash easily

Cons -
Light (handle might no be durable)

My Favorite Foundations

Monday, December 1, 2014

Hello Dolls!
I typically stick to the same foundations and just keep them in rotation depending on what look I'm trying to go for. Makeup Forever HD Invisible Foundation and MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation are  my go to foundations. I apply them both with a beauty blender for easy and seamless application. I have oily skin that tends to breakout easily and these foundations both look beautiful on my skin.

I like to use this foundation when I won't be outside or wearing makeup for more than a few hours. The foundation doesn't really do well to wear for long periods of time. I would say if your skin has blemishes or dark spot use a concealer along with the foundation to cover those areas. For more dry and normal skin types this foundation is perfect and sits well on the skin. However using this foundation with oily skin can cause a problem with looking shiny after a few hours. So without a powder you will be oily shortly after applying

Pros -
Natural Matte Finish
Photographs beautiful
Light weight
Blends well

Cons -
Pricey
Can be hard to find a good color match
Doesn't work well with oily skin

I love a full coverage and flawless finish to daily makeup and tend to reach for MAC's Fix Fluid foundation the most. You really only have to use a little to take care of your whole face and if you choose there really isn't a need to use a setting powder. Ive heard from people that the formula has an odd smell but to me I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. When you first apply the foundation it does have a heavy feeling but it won't last just wait a few minutes for it to dry and set.

Pros -
Flawless finish full coverage
A little goes a long way
Blends well
Works good with Oily skin

Cons -
Can be cakey/ heavy
Breakouts
No pump included
can be messy

MAC Soft and Gentle

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

MAC's Mineralized Skin Finishes are just amazing! I have a couple already but my all time favorite is Soft and Gentle. Soft I am a glitter girl no doubt and the gorgeous sparkle Soft and Gentle adds to the face is perfect for anyone who wants to glam up their look. It's prefect for using with your highlight and contour as well as simply something to add to the cheeks. A little goes a long way when applying so start out light and build up until your satisfied.
